Boat Building and Sailing talk & workshops 

A talk will be held on the origin of boats in the Cavan, Monaghan & Fermanagh areas.

The discussion will look at the development of the log boats and subsequently the building of a cot by Cavan Town Men`s shed. The various forms of propulsion will be covered, i.e the paddle, oar and sail as the speak has sailed competitively for many years and managed many sailing championships during that time. The cot will be on exhibit in Johnston Central Library.
