Tony Rice is the 3rd of 4 Generations who worked for the ESB. In the 1960's he was involved when the initial rural electrification scheme was drawing to a close and the redevelopment scheme was in operation.
This talk will touch on the history of electricity from Ancient Greece to it’s development providing power and light to towns and cities, businesses and homes and farms in rural Ireland. Tony will share some anecdotes and personal reminiscences of working for the ESB for many years.
