Thursday 12th November : Dr. Declan Mc Kenna (University of Ulster) The Science of Teenagers, Adolescence can be a tough time to live through for teenagers – and their parents. Seemingly overnight, children who were sweet and good-natured transform into grunting, rebellious, eye-rolling creatures. 

Marc Kelly – Engineering the Rossmore Park Giants

Friday 13th: Marc Kelly – Engineering the Rossmore Park Giants. At 30 ft high, Roddy (full name Roddy Dendron) can be seen from space! At least that’s the brief that was given to Clontibret engineer Benny Magennis, who called on the craftsmanship and artistic prowess of local sculptors Sean McKenna and Mark Kelly to help him construct this giant of Rossmore.

Mark Langtry – The Science of Sport

Tuesday 10th November @ 7pm: Mark Langtry – The Science of Sport. He is passionate about translation and application of science, and sport offers so many great opportunities to ask "How" and "why". Think of it as looking at sport through x-ray glasses.

to Gut Health, Microbes & Me Monday, 16 November @ 7:30pm: Maria Lucey is a CORÚ Registered Dietitian. Maria can provide evidence-based advice and information about food and healthy eating. Nutritional therapists provide alternative treatment, based on the idea that the body needs 'healing' and 'correcting'.
