Tuesday 9th Nov 11am-12noon. Venue: Dún Mhuire Adult Education Centre, Monaghan, H18 T383, Facilitator: Simon Clarke
You might think that there is very little that can be done in the garden in winter.
But November to March is an ideal time for planting trees. Trees have an important role to play in combating climate change. They encourage biodiversity by providing places for animals and birds. And of course, trees are important in contributing to the beauty of the world around us. As more of us become aware of the need to protect the environment, there is an increased interest in planting our own trees and shrubs. This one-hour session will cover the ecological benefits of planting trees, how to go about it, and (weather permitting) a practical demonstration.
